The Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education honored Norman Gruber and Board President Kellie Holmstrom, DVM, for their years of service to the Marquette Area Public Schools District at their regular meeting on December 20, 2010. Dr. Holmstrom was described as being professional, showing great leadership, a visionary leader and a mentor to other board members. The MAPS board members spoke of Norm Gruber as being the voice of reason and that he will most be remembered for his budgetary responsibility.
