Sandy Knoll has been recognized by the State of Michigan for “Beating the Odds” by increasing student achievement despite high levels of poverty. It was announced at the Spring MDE Workshop that Sandy Knoll was one of 63 schools identified because they outperformed predicted outcomes. Also, Sandy Knoll and Lincoln Elementary from Menominee were the only two schools representing the Upper Peninsula in the entire State of Michigan. When this was announced to the whole group of participants at the workshop I could not have been more proud!! Below is the link for further information:
