High Quality Childcare/Preschool Scholarships for Eligible 3 Year Olds

The Marquette-Alger Great Start Collaborative has been awarded an Early Childhood Investment Corporation (ECIC) grant for up to $100,000 in ARRA funds.  This grant will support one year of child care/preschool scholarships for three-year-olds to access a high quality learning experience in Marquette and Alger Counties.  The three-year- olds must meet certain eligibility criteria related to family income, risk factors and family needs. 

• Children must be 3 years of age by December 1, 2011
• The program will run from September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2012
• Applications are due by August 1^st.   Applicants awarded the scholarship will be notified by August 15^th.
• Applications can be found on the Marquette-Alger Great Start Collaborative website at www.greatstartma.org
