Teacher Assistants

On August 13, 2007 the Board of Education approved implementation of a Three-Year Pilot Program.  The purpose of this pilot program is to develop, implement and maintain reliable, effective and highly trained instructional support for Marquette Area Public Schools' Certified Staff.  This and similiar initiatives constitute strategies designed to assist students and staff in meeting local, State and Federal educational goals.

To date Teacher Assistants have been assigned as indicated below for the 2008-09 school year:

Cherry Creek - Laura Nezich, Amanda Swanson

Superior Hills - Tanya Sprowl, Kristine Hartwig, Kelsey Deo

Sandy Knoll - Lyn Brown, Ashley Bouchard

Vandenboom -

Assistant Superintendent Deborah Veiht is working with the HR Department and Principals to identify additional Teacher Assistants.  Interviews will be scheduled soon.
