Google Digitized Video Archives from 
View Newsreels and Other Historic Films
Google has digitized 103 historic films from the National
Archives and made them available, at no charge, on the Web. The
pilot project, which may be expanded, includes such gems as newsreels from
World Wars I and II, video of the moon landing and Depression-era films about
the national parks and public works projects.

Sections: NASA History
– This selection of nineteen "Headquarters Films (HQ)" preserved in
the National Archives, represents a series of over 250 titles collected by the
NASA Office of Public Affairs between 1962 and 1981. They were produced using
footage from the various NASA research facilities and space flight.
United Newsreel
– During World War II, the United States Government financed its own newsreel
for overseas viewers, entitled THE UNITED NEWSREEL. This selection of
government produced newsreels, deposited in the National Archives, was produced

The movies on this site show a variety of plants
living out their dynamic lives. While we especially hope this site provides
material that may captivate the interest of budding plant biologists, even the
seasoned plant biologists will find interesting material. Time-lapse
photography allows us to easily see the movements of plants and clearly
demonstrates that plants are living organisms capable of some extraordinary
things.
