| Marquette Community Schools “Turkey Trot” - Tuesday, October 28, 2008“Turkey Trot” run-walk set for Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2008
The Marquette Turkey Trot, a 10K (6.2 mile) or 5K (3.1 mile) fun run-walk will be held again this Thanksgiving morning, November 27, rain, snow, or shine, at the Marquette Area Public Schools Administration Office and Band Room on the east side of Marquette Senior High School. The entry fee is $7, with proceeds benefiting the Marquette Senior High School Orchestra. Or, for a total of $15, a T-shirt designed by MSHS students will be provided. Leashed dogs with current shots are welcome. Registration is from 8:10-8:45 a.m., and the run-walk starts at 9:00 a.m. Participants may also drop off an optional canned food item that morning to benefit the TV6 Canathon. In cooperation with the State Department of Education, eligible students may enroll up to full-time in online courses.
