Current Public Shows ~ Held on Monday evenings at 7:30 PM.

May 2009—Dawn of Astronomy; Europe (closed May 25 for Memorial Day)

June 2009—Planets of the Solar System; A children’s show

July 2009—Two Small Pieces of Glass (IYA) (closed July 6 for fourth of July weekend)

August 2009—Two Small Pieces of Glass (IYA) (closed August 10th and 17th for summer break and maintenance)

Please no unattended children or unattended preschoolers due to noise concerns.  Thanks!

Public shows begin at 7:30 PM, Monday nights.  Doors open at 7:15 PM.

Entrance Fees:  $3.00 for Adults, $2.00 for Students, and Senior Citizens free.

 

 

School Shows ~ Scheduled daily.

Standard show times are at either 9:45 AM or 10:45 AM, Monday through Friday but other arrangements can also be pursued.  Contact the director to make reservations or obtain further information.

 

 

Private Shows

The Shiras Planetarium is also open for rental of the theater space.  Any of the shows listed above can be utilized in addition to other possibilities for birthday themes, special topics, etc.

These presentations can be adapted to many different ages and involve the star field and/or Power Point slides to create unique and informative shows!

Elementary Programs

These programs contain the professional narration and special effects you’ve come to expect.  Supplementary discussion after the show content is always an option!
