ACT Registration - ACT Assessment Testing - test dates, registration, test preparation, score information (This post-secondary entrance test is required by the majority of colleges in the Midwest.)

 

ASVAB - Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery - The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Career Exploration Program is a cooperative effort between the Department of Defense (DoD) and the nation's schools. Approximately 13,000 schools participate in the program annually. Students participating in the program complete an aptitude test battery (ASVAB), an interest inventory, and a work values exercise. Through the use of these and other program materials, students learn about themselves and use this information to identify different career options.

 

PLAN Assessment ACT - PLAN® helps tenth graders build a solid foundation for future academic and career success and provides information needed to address school districts' high-priority issues. It is a comprehensive guidance resource that helps students measure their current academic development, explore career/training options, and make plans for the remaining years of high school and post-graduation years. The PLAN can help all students. It can assist those who are college-bound as well as those who are likely to enter the workforce directly after high school.

 

PSAT/NMSQT - The Preliminary SAT®/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test - There are at least six reasons to take the PSAT/NMSQT in your Sophomore and especially in your Junior year. 1. Enter NMSC scholarship competitions. 2. Compare yourself with other college-bound students around the country. 3. Find out what the SAT is like. (The PSAT/NMSQT includes actual SAT questions.) 4. Assess your verbal, math, and writing skills. 5. Forecast your SAT scores. 6. Participate in the Student Search Service® to get mail from colleges.
