Congratulations to our 2026 MSHS graduates!

Spring Hiring Event!

And they are off with MAPS Superintendent, Zack Sedgwick, driving our fifth grade students to the start of the 51st Bay Cliff Camp! Thank you to all the volunteers, counselors, parent groups, community donors, and the MAPS staff who make this experience possible for our students!

Congrats to Mrs. Andrea Johnston, Graveraet Title I Teacher, and MAPS K-5 Teacher of the Year! Her colleagues wrote, “Andrea is an outstanding educator for Marquette Area Public Schools because she not only excels in teaching in her own classroom, but has helped build an environment throughout the whole building for learning to grow and flourish. Andrea is committed to educational excellence, while keeping a positive attitude that positively impacts both her students and staff… Andrea is not just a teacher. She is a champion for teaching and learning. She is a mentor to colleagues who seek her wisdom and expertise. She is a collaborator who builds better systems and methods for students. She is an educator who works tirelessly to positively impact the lives of each and every student she knows. Most of all, she is a dedicated human being who comes to work every day, striving to make a difference in the lives of those around her.”

Today we kicked off our One School, One Book program with a "Cooking with the Teachers" assembly! This year’s featured book is Pie by Sarah Weeks—a warm, funny, and heartfelt story about friendship, family, and the memories that bring us together (with a little pie along the way!). We invite all families to read along with us!
Your child or the oldest child in your family will come home with a copy of the book today that includes a bookmark with our weekly reading schedule. Over the coming weeks, students will explore this book at school, and we encourage families to join the fun at home by reading and talking about the story together.
Thank you for helping us build a shared reading experience that brings our school community together. Happy reading! 💙📖
