If you are interested in applying for an opening, click on “View Open Positions” above and follow the prompts to apply for a specific position.  If interested in multiple positions, you will need to apply for each position posted.  However, once you complete an online application, your information is stored for future use and can be revised as needed.  However, at this time, only one cover letter may be saved on the system.  If you are selected for an interview, a School District official will contact you directly.

MAPS is currently facing a shortage of substitute teachers, we need you! Requirements to become a substitute teacher include having 60 college credits and the ability to pass a background check. Sub permit costs $45.00 annually and fingerprinting costs $80.00 one time, those fees are the responsibility of the substitute. Substitute teaching is a great experience and is a wonderful resume builder. 

Substitute Teaching is contracted by WillSub. You can APPLY by visiting the MARESA website or by stopping by MARESA at 321 E. Ohio St. Marquette, MI 49855 from 8AM-4PM M-F.

$120.00 per day
$60.00 per half day

MAPS employs support substitutes in a variety of positions such as: aide, secretary, bus driver, custodian, noon supervisor, and food service worker. To become a support substitute, pick up and complete a MAPS Support Substitute Packet at MAPS Central Office. Directions are below:

Pull into the Marquette Senior High School parking lot off of Fair Ave and park in visitor parking. Look for signs that say Central Office, Superintendent's Office, and Board of Education. There is a red railing leading up the stairs, go in that door and ask for the Human Resources Department for a Support Substitute Packet. Packets are available for pick up between 8AM-4PM M-F.
