MAPS is pleased to share an update regarding the bond proposal approved by voters on May 5, 2026. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our community, families, and staff for their continued support of our schools and for their partnership as we work through these next steps.
As previously shared, a community member filed a petition requesting a recount of the results from four precincts, citing a “Discrepancy between results first reported and final results unofficial".
The recount verified the initial election results. The final tally remains as first reported, with the bond passing by a vote of 3,629 to 3,116 (53.8% approved). MAPS would like to extend a sincere thank you to the County Clerk’s office and all election workers for running an impeccable, transparent election.
With the results officially certified, MAPS is eager to begin the planning and implementation phases of the bond projects. The district will continue to keep families, staff, and community members closely informed as this process moves forward, and we look forward to working in partnership with you all to bring these vital school improvements to our buildings.
