Check out this photo of our incredible staff members who were recognized last night at Excellence in Education!
Each of them was honored either for the meaningful impact they’ve had on our outstanding students or as recipients of professional development awards—recognition that helps create even more opportunities for our students.
This special evening is a powerful reminder of the lasting influence educators have on students' lives, and that each of us has the opportunity, every day, to shape lives far beyond the walls of MSHS.
Please join me in celebrating these exceptional honorees!

Physics students are doing a research project on renewable energies. Today guests from NMU and the community came in to share their expertise in fields like solar, wind, hydropower and biomass.

Boston Tea Party 2025! 🇬🇧🫖❤️💙
As we wrap up our study of this historical event, we celebrated with our annual tea party! The fifth graders came dressed in fancy attire and enjoyed tea and scones with our very own Queen Anderson! Thank you to all of the family members that were able to attend and help! It was another very successful party!

Thank you to our NMU teacher candidates, Dr. White, Dr. Williams, Mrs. Augustine, Mrs. Dionne, and all our second grade writers for a wonderful Writing Celebration!

Congrats to Graveraet students, Henry Dellangelo (K) and Nora Morrison (1st), who shared their Young Author books with Northern Michigan University (NMU) President Brock Tessman and his wife, Kristin!

Yesterday, our 8th grade students participated in our 2nd Annual Career Fair. Students first started with completing something called an Educational Development Plan that helps develop a career interest inventory, along with personality surveys, and career growth insights. We invited several businesses from the area to help students gain a broader insight to what may available to them as adults. Students met with Tia Trudgeon from TV6, Mike Smith from UP Construction Council, Ian Hutchens from Eagle Mine, Jessica Mariin owner of Fresh Coast Beauty, Tyler McCabe from Teaching Family Homes, Caitlin Ott and Ben Travis from MIDNR; our very own Ms. Delpier was able to stand in for a guest who was unable to attend, with a similar education background. Our students were attentive, extremely respectful, and engaged; our guests were happy with the questions asked and said the students were wonderful.
